Difference between a colleague and a friend

When I was in my previous job and thinking of changing my career, I read some books about careers because I didn’t want to fail or regret. Among them, I was especially impressed by a book called “Scientifically-
Best Job”, which influenced me in fact.
It is about various different factors that affect choosing your career path. There were two factors that impacted me most. 1)When you say you chose your career “by intuition”, it is often only a justification you fabricate afterwards. 2)When you have more than 3 friends at your workplace, your satisfaction for life rises by 96% and your satisfaction for your salary increases twice as much. If you have 3 best friends at your workplace, your motivation for work rises up to 700%.
Of course these data is not quite scientifically critical, but as I had believed that too much attachment feeling to your colleagues was just dangerous, this slightly changed my viewpoint.
Maybe this kind of mindset is useful to work comfortably. But it doesn’t ultimately help you. The effort to keep the best human relationships at workplace can result in only to be exploited. Colleagues are still dangerous as friends that you totally devote your heart to, this idea was built in me very concretely after I read a book called “The End of Burn Out” by Jonathan Malesic. What work as an insurance that will eventually help you is to have several parallel aspects/worlds/spaces of life, such as your family, neighbours and friends who have common interests.
