Despite Christmas

I reviewed some words on Youtube, despite Christmas.
These words are the ones that I cannot memorize although I went through over and over.

Here are some of them that I focused on today.
admonish, abdicate, detract from, balk at, flaunt.

"Flaunt" seems like to be often used together with "brazen".
"Abdicate" seems likely to be often followed by "one's responsibility".

When I looked for the usage of "admonish" on Youtube, a lot of footage of preaches at church came through.

Happy holidays to you all!

Corrections

These words are the ones that I cannot memorize although I went throughhave reviewed them over and over.

If you say "the ones," it sounds like these are thr only words you have trouble remembering. I'm not sure if that's what you mean to say, though.

HerThese are some of them words that I focused on today.:

I think you should combine this sentence and the one below as follows:

These are some of the words that I focused on: admonish, abdicate, detract from, balk at, flaunt.

Thank you so much for the correction 😃

I reviewed some words on Youtube, de in spite of it being Christmas.

Another alternative. Also, no comma is necessary.

These words are the ones that I cannot memorize although I went've gone through over and over again.

Here are some of them ones that I focused on today.

admonish, abdicate, detract from, balk at, flaunt.

"Flaunt" seems likely to be often used together with "brazen".

You could keep 'together', but it crowds the sentence.

"Abdicate" often seems likely to be often followed by "one's responsibility".

'likely' and 'often' are saying the same thing, here. You could drop one.

When I looked for the usage of "admonish" on Youtube, a lot of footage of preachers at church came through.

preach = verb, preacher = noun

Happy holidays to you all!
