Online classes started again today. I prefer face to face classes to online classes because face to face classes are easy to ask questions to teachers. I can't go out for 10 days to prevent the infection. During Christmas holidays, I have to stay at home.

"it's easy" is also grammatically fine, but the meaning would be a bit different. If you have "の方" in Japanese, the English should have a comparative adjective (比較級).

I'm assuming that the reason you can't go out is because someone in your bubble got COVID. In English, there isn't quite a word like "感染予防", and in this context, it's more natural to only talk about you spreading the infection.

The "therefore" in science or math books is one use of the word. However, it can also be used more generally. It definitely is a tiny bit more formal though. If you want to be more casual, someone might say "So, during the holidays, I have to stay at home", and might say or write or "That's why during the holidays I have to stay at home". (I think the first one is a little strange in writing). Just like in Japanese, there are a lot of different conjunctions that are mostly interchangeable, but have slightly different nuances.
