The winter holidays are coming soon but next week, I have a lot of tests and I quit the school by the end of January, so the school decided to do the semester exam earlier for me. Actually, I don’t want to take it.
そろそろ冬休みが近づいてきているが来週にはたくさんテストがある。それに学校を1月いっぱいでやめるからsemeterを自分だけ早くすることにしてもらった。本当は受けたくないんだけどなー。

I don't understand that part.

It's kind of like "to have to" but in the sense that someone else is making you do something.
Ex:
My mother is having me babysit my younger brother.
The manager is having me buy the stock.
