I read the manga comic books a long time ago, and watched the live action movie as well.
There are two main characters, and I really liked one of them "L".
He is quiet, smart and doesn't show any emotions on his face.
He has a very unique character, yet is very attractive.
The other day, I watched the Hollywood remake Death Note on Netflix.
The actors and actresses were cool, but the story was completely different.
I was a bit disappointed.

I was wondering if you still like L as a character. In that case, you would put the word liked in the present tense. If you previously liked him as a character, but don't like him anymore, you can use the past tense of like.
He is quiet, smart/intelligent and doesn't show any emotions on his face/appears stoic/appears emotionless/doesn't use many facial expressions to express his emotions.
Your sentence is correct, but you can also use any of the other phrases that I provided to show how stoic L is.
He has a very unique personality/character, yet is very attractive.
What makes L attractive despite his unique personality? I would like to hear more about his personality. Also, do you think you find him attractive physically or also based on his personality?

The reason why I like the character "L" in the original story is because he was always confident. However, "L" in the Hollywood adaptation was not confident.
I'm going to write another entry about the character "L".

Feedback
All Western Hollywood adaptations of anime except for One Piece is utter garbage. Death Note already has several very good Japanese live action adaptions and I don't think there was ever a need to Westernize it. It feels like a big disrespect to not just the anime but Japan itself. I certainly steered clear of it.
(Hahaha, what a classic example of Westerners' strong opinions🤣🤣 Getting offended even before Japanese people.)
Anyhow, L is my favourite too.

You can also describe him as "stoic". There's another word that'd be even better, but it's not coming to mind.
He has a very unique characterpeculiar personality, yet is very attractive.
I went with "peculiar" over "unique" because "unique" can be an attractive quality while "peculiar" can have more negative connotations thus it ties better with "yet".
"A unique/peculiar character" would mean there's one thing about the person that is unique or peculiar, but you're not saying what and it just feels a little odd here. "Personality" is more specific.

Death Note I think is one of the more popular anime in the US, but it's live action adaptation is not well liked. American anime fans typically don't care for live action adaptations, but it seems like Netflix thought maybe they'd like it if they were American. Maybe One Piece is their first successful attempt?

I remembered the better word! "cool-headed." I think maybe 冷静 is the same idea?
I overall liked the live-action adaptation of One Piece, too. Though speaking of "stoic", one of the things that bugged be about it was in scenes where the characters would cry in the anime and manga, they do not cry in the Netflix production. I think that's an example of "American stoicism."
