It has been raining for a week. The weather is so similar in these days: it is sunny in the morning, then it start to rain in the afternoon.
My feeling of the weather is quite contradictable. On one hand, I haven't been going riding for a week because of the rain. Especially I want to visit Auntie Detay by bike. I miss the feeling of riding. I miss the wind caressing my face. I miss the sunset and clouds. I miss seeing the birds flying over the fields. I miss Auntie so much.
On the other hand, when it rains, it is pretty cool. I like the temperature very much because I hate the heat. I can sleep very well at night without an air condition working. I don't have to wake up because of thirst even though the humidifier is working. Furthermore, it is so quiet when it rains. What I can hear is only the rain. I can stay in the house and just watch the rain falls. I feel like I'm a little island in the sea. Or I can read with the rain dropping.
When I was younger, I hated the raining days a lot. While I like it in some periods. My emotions changed easily because of the weather. I could hardly control myself or maybe I didn't want to. I am quite peaceful now because I know that I can't change the weather. But I can change my mind to make life easier.
It is raining outside now.
Days in The Rain
It has been raining for a week.
The weather is so similar in these days: it is sunny in the morning, then it starts to rain in the afternoon.
My feeling ofs about the weather isare quite contradictableory.
On one hand, I haven't been going riding for a week because of the rain.
EI especially I want to visit Auntie Detay by bike.
Not sure if this is an error, but it sounds a lot better.
I miss the feeling of riding.
I miss the wind caressing my face.
I miss the sunset and clouds.
I miss seeing the birds flying over the fields.
I miss Auntie so much.
On the other hand, when it rains, it is pretty cool.
I like the temperatureat very much, because I hate the heat.
Feels much better to refer to "that", the whole situation, "it is cool". Rather than to "the temperature".
I can sleep very well at night without an air condition worker running.
We'd usually say "running" or "going" or just "on" here - "working" feels more like whether it's *broken*. It can be working even if it's turned off. "The air conditioner isn't working, because it needs a replacement part." Or "Is the air conditioner working? I tried to turn it on but nothing happened." "Yes, it works, I'll show you how to turn it on."
I don't have to wake up because of thirst even though the humidifier is workingon.
Same here.
Would be a little more natural as maybe "I don't get woken up by thirst".
Furthermore, it is so quiet when it rains.
What I can hear is only the rainThe rain is all I can hear.
This was a strange way to say this, and I wanted to change it a lot.
I can stay in the house and just watch the rain falls.
With "hear", "see", "notice", "watch", we use either infinitive without "to", or gerund. So I watch the rain fall or I watch the rain falling.
I feel like I'm a little island in the sea.
Or I can read withhile the rain droppingpours.
We don't usually talk about rain "dropping", unless we're focusing on a specific part of it, like a single raindrop or a leak through a roof. "with" isn't too bad here but I liked "while" much more. "with" would fit better like "I can read with the rain pouring down around me". Not sure why.
When I was younger, I hated the rainingy days a lot.
WhileAlthough I liked it in some periods, the weather could easily change my emotions.
Wasn't sure what you wanted to say here.
I could hardly control myself, or maybe I didn't want to.
I am quite peaceful now because I know that I can't change the weather.
But I can change my mind to make life easier.
It is raining outside now.
Feedback
Very stoic. And very English - we love talking about weather :)
Hopefully you can get back to riding soon!
