Day of the dead in Brazil

November 2 is the date known for being the day in which many Latin American cultures celebrate the day of the dead - with the celebrations that take place in Mexico being the most well-known by people from all over the world.
Curiously enough, Brazilians also celebrate the day of the dead. It's important to point out though that we do it in our own fashion.
Wheares Mexicans set shrines up and go on streets in desguises, celebrating something that, for many Brazilians, would look like a mix of Carnival and Halloween, the celebrations in Brazil are much more calm and quiet. For us, the day of the dead - or "Dia de Finados" as we call, is a day to visit the tombs of our beloved ones and pray for them. Some people also go to the church, but definitely there isn't any party-like celebration like they have in Mexico.
Different countries, different celebrations. Weather if it is to party or just to pray, I do think that is a good thing to have one day to remember our loved ones who passed away.
