If you are an English Native speaker maybe you have told to your family or friends that you wanted to language like Korean, French or Spanish. And maybe they told you that you should learn something more useful like programming or maths because computers are going to translate everything in the future anyways. However, I don't think that's true, languages rely a lot on the context, thus that hypothetical and futuristic translator should know the relationship between the speaker and the listener to make a perfect translation. Languages like Spanish or Japanese change a lot depending on who are you talking to. I also think that languages can offer you a lot of opportunities, maybe you could watch that anime that you like too much without subtitles or live in a beautiful village in The Netherlands.

In English, math is not plural unless the full word is used (mathematics). Technically written sentences are not supposed to start with the word “and” but it is often spoken that way.
