Day 7: MyThe First Week of My English Challenge

Wow, this has definitely this isbeen the longest time that I have been writing in English.

I'm so thankful withfor all of you for correcting my posts.

So, what have I done with all the corrections that all of you’ve gaiven me?

Well, I make flashcards on anki using the "type in the answer" type of cards.

I do the exact same thing ! :D

So, when I'm studying these flashcards, I sawee my writing and I have to remember my mistakes and type the correct wordsversion.

I think that I learn so much better by this wayusing this method.

By the way, I hadve studied Japanese for three days this week, that's a great advanceI believe that this is a great improvement, too.

I now realized that I can learn Japanese withat my own pace, however.

I'm not going to travel to Japan in the following 3 years, maybe in my third year of college if I have good grades and I haveget lucky.

I understand the direct translation of “tengo suerte”, in English we always say ‘If I am lucky’ ‘I am feeling lucky today’ ‘He is pretty lucky’ etc. !

So, I will put effort into studying Japanese, however, if I have to do something more important some day, I will skip Japanese.

I require more context; will you stop learning Japanese entirely or take a break?

"definitely" is an adverb, and adverb comes after the verb it is describing ("is")

So, what do I do with the corrections that all of you gave me?

"What do I do" may be confusing to understand as a sentence structure but think of it this way:
"I will do what I want to do"
The first 'do' in "what do I do?" corresponds to " I am going to do "-- you are planning to perform / already performing the action
The second 'do' in "what do I do?" corresponds to "what I want to do" --it is not the active verb

I use anki for new terms I use in my Langcorrect journals, too! :D

So, when I'm studying these flashcards, I sawee my writing and I would have to remember my mistakes and type the correct words.

"would" - conditional
you have to remember your mistakes under a condition (seeing your writing/ studying these cards)

I think that I learn so much better by this way.

"by" usually used for verbs or certain specific expressions
"I exercise better by dancing" "Spread by word of mouth" "compose by ear"

You can say "I learn better through this way" or "I learn better using this way"

By the way, I had studied Japanese for three days this week, t. That's a great advance, too.

Had studied = past perfect --> it comes before another past action
You don't have a past action that comes after this, so you don't really need past perfect
It's not too noticeable of an error so you should still use past perfect to be safe in many cases

However, I realized that I can learn Japanese withat my own pace, however.

No explanation because I think "at my own pace" is just a specific expression like that

I'm not going to travel to Japan within the followingnext 3 years, maybe in my third year of college if I have good grades and I haveget lucky.

"within" or "in" in the next 3 years all work
Following is a bit awkward for how formal it is

Get lucky is a specific expression

So, I will put effort into studying Japanese, h. However, if I have to do something more important some days, I will skip Japanese.

the "day" here is generic, you are not talking about one specific day
so "some days"

I write my mistakes on the front of the card, and then, on the back, I write your corrections.

So, when I'm studying these flashcards, I sawee my (incorrect) writing and I have to remember my mistakes and type the correct words.

I think that I learn so much better by this way.

By the way, I had studied Japanese for three days this week, that' which is a great advance,chievement too.

I realized that I can learn Japanese withat my own pace, however.

I'm not going to travel to Japan in the following 3 years, but maybe in my third year of college if I have good grades and I have luckyget lucky I will.

'Name' followed by comma then thanks makes the thanks more direct to the person you are addressing it to.

"Time" is optional in this sentence but we often omit it in the US.

After a question word like "who | what | where | when | how," we put the verb right after it. The | means "or."

"To make cards in Anki" is how we use it in the US.

So, when I'm studying these flashcards, I sawee my writing and then I have to remember my mistakes and type the correct words.

This is something you do on a regular basis so present tense sounds better.

I think that I learn so much better by this way.

We don't need the "by" in this sentence.

Mistakes are so useful, aren't they? I love my mistakes, too!

You can say "great advance" but we often use "big improvement" in the US.

The original sentence is fine enough for social media / casual texting because people don't always write grammatically separated sentences in that context. They tend to combine them with commas. Generally though, you should separate sentence fragments with some sort of punctuation.

So, I will put (some) effort into studying Japanese, however,but if I have to do something more important somone day, I will skip Japaneseit.
