Day 6: Sentence Mining

Would you believe me if I told you that you can learn new vocabulary by watching Youtube videos? Well, that's what I've been doing these days. Whenever I found a word that I didn't understand, I copy the whole sentence from the subtitles, then I paste it on an Anki card, I also highlight the word which I'm interested in. Finally I wrote the definition in English and I also paste a screenshot of that video and an audio recording of that sentence from the same video. I use Sharex, a software to record audio from your computer and take screenshots. For me it's a little bit tricky to use it because my computer is so slow, it's still funny although.

Corrections

Whenever I fouind a word that I didon't understand, I copy the whole sentence from the subtitles, then I paste it onto an Anki card,. I also highlight the word which I'm interested in.

I would probably say "I make an Anki card out of it" instead of "paste it onto an Anki card" to communicate the card is created at this time.

Hyperpedantic grammar note: "word which I'm interested in" ends in a preposition, but it's a grammatical error that natives also make so I'll offer no correction.

found -> find, didn't -> don't: You're describing the process, not the action or a specific occurance, so the plain form of the verb should be used.

Finally I wroite the definition in English and I also paste a screenshot of that video and an audio recording of that sentence from the same video.

wrote -> write: Again, you're describing the process, not the action.

Remove "same": It's redundant since the reader will not assume you got the audio from anywhere else.

For me it's , a little bit tricky to use it because my computer is so slow, it's still funny al though.

Feedback

Just a word of caution: A lot of those subtitles are auto-generated and may not be accurate. But your method seems to be working because your writing is very good and sounds fairly natural.

Search something on youtube, click on filters, and then choose subtitles and click on apply. Youtube will only show you videos with manual captions.

I don't believe funny is the word that you want to use here, but I'm not sure what you're trying to say.

Funny means that something is humorous. For example: a joke.

The meaning of the last part of this sentence is unclear to me. Sorry!
