Day 4 – Living abroad

In a world where communication is getting easier and easier the population living in a foreign country and becoming expatriates is increasing.

There are many reasons that might lead you to live abroad. But, in general I would say the main reason is career wise. That means, people looking for better opportunities abroad, either to boost their career or just to study at universities that might help them to get a better job in the future. Nevertheless, whatever the reason you have laying behind living abroad, that is a big change for which you need to be prepared. Depending on from where you come and where you go the culture and background may have a big gap. That is to say sometimes might be very challenging to bridge that gap, and for sure it will require effort in understanding the different ways of doing things. In my experience, that effort will be fulfilled with a more open-minded and with a new set of communication and interpersonal skills.

Therefore, even you miss your homemade food, you’ll find rewards beyond that first target that guided there. I think it’s a beautiful open-minded experienced from which you can learn a lot. Thus, if you are in this situation and you go through difficult times, don’t worry, you’ll get something out of it and you will learn that you can overcome whatever huddle you might find.

Day 4 – Living abroad

Is this your fourth day living abroad?

In a world where communication is getting easier and easier, the populationnumber of people living in a foreign country and becoming expatriates is increasing.

There are many reasons that might lead [you | one] to live abroad., but in general…

B…but, in general I would say the main reason is for [your | one’s] career wise.

Merge this with the previous sentence.

Nevertheless, whatever the reason you have laying behind living abroad, thait is a big change for which you need to be prepared.

I’m not certain that I’ve understood what you meant, so I’ve taken a guess.

Therefore, even if you miss your homemade (?) food, you’ll find rewards beyond that first target that guided there.

“Homemade” seems odd to me because you can make homemade food anywhere, as long as you have access to food supplies and a basic kitchen. The food might be foreign, but it will still be homemade. Maybe you mean “you’ll miss the food you used to eat at home” or “you’ll miss the food of your home country.”

I think it’s a beautiful open-minded, eye-opening experienced from which you can learn a lot.

Chrisnies’s correction makes more sense than my original correction.

Thus, if you are in this situation and you go through difficult times, don’t worry, you’ll get something out of it and you will learn that you can overcome whatever hudrdle you might find.
