Day 35: Serenade

Bringing serenade to someone is mostly done by men, but there's no a rule which says women can't do it too. Serenade is to perform a few songs in the night in front of the window of the loved one in order to express feelings like gratitude and love. However, there must be a courtship between the two beloved before. It doesn't have an origin in Mexico but is so popular that it's now a tradition. You only need a guitar, the ability to sing and a loved one. There is a scene in the movie The Book of Life where makes a reference to this tradition, the scene is "I Love You Too Much" if you want to watch it on youtube. I think that I would like to do this before dying. However, for that I need to learn how to play guitar and sing first (haha). Maybe in a far February fourteenth.

Edit: I forgot to say that if someone brings serenade to his(her) beloved, he(she) can also sing along with mariachi.

Oooh, I have heard that the origin of serenading is from Romeo and Juliet. I have seen about playing a song with a boombox in movies , I thought that it was something like an American joke.
