Day 18

I've been really busy the last few days. I've been key mashing all day. Suprised my fingers aren't stumps. (I got this expression from a game, and I found it really funny, so I wrote it down and used it here. What do you think of it?)
I ordered a few packs of tortillas and a bottle of tonkatsu sauce online. I'm going to make pork wraps for lunch every day. I'll try it out and maybe write a recipe for you guys!

Corrections

I've been key mashing keys all day.

"mashing keys" sounds better than "key mashing", but neither quite sound natural to me. It makes me think of the phrase "mashing/smashing/rolling my face against/on/across my keyboard" (which is used in the context of playing a game (like League of Legends) that has a lot of "button combos" that should normally take skill to execute correctly, but in this case the person "mashing their face on their keyboard" is just pressing buttons "randomly/haphazardly" (with their fingers and not actually their face) and still winning).

I assume you were just typing a lot, and not gaming, so a few more natural suggestions might be:
"I've been typing away all day"
"I've been non-stop typing all day"

Suprised my fingers aren't stumps.

That is really funny. It sounds totally natural to my ears and I think it fits this context well.

Thank you! Have a wonderful weekend!

Surprised my fingers aren't stumps.

Feedback

Great expression! Corrected a typo ("surprised" is a tough word, a lot of native speakers spell it wrong too.)

Thank you for catching that typo! Have a wonderful weekend!

I've been key mashingpounding the keys all day.

I had to look up "key mashing." I think you mean something like "typing furiously"? Using your keyboard to write quickly?

I saw that "key mashing" and several similar phrases mean typing a bunch of random letters. I'm pretty sure you didn't do that all day!

"Pounding the keys" and "hammering the keys" can mean typing furiously.

Feedback

Grammatically, this is perfect.

I love the expression you learned and incorporated.

I need to clarify "perfect" after reading the feedback from hrenee15. The reason I say it is perfect is because it has such a strong "voice." That means it sounds like you. This piece of writing is informal, fun, and something I can imagine being shared among friends. It's not supposed to sound like textbook English, it's supposed to sound like you.

Thank you! I want to befriend everyone here, and I don't want my writing to be boring or tedious. I encountered this problem when I revised writings in my native language. People tend to write in prose, trying to describe a beautiful scene or something, but with so many mistakes that it becomes hard to figure out the original meaning. I mean, there's nothing wrong with the form or the intention to write prose, but it just doesn't seem very interesting.

Key mashing = typing a bunch of random letters
Okay, I get it! Guess I shouldn't use that phrase here. Of course, I wasn't just randomly tapping on the keyboard all day long! XD

I've been key -mashing all day.

I believe you put a hyphen here, but I could be wrong.

SuI'm surprised that my fingers aren't stumps.
