Day 11

I've decide to make sandwiches for lunch every day. So I ordered two pounds of flour online to bake my own bread. Although I love toast, I'm going to make ciabatta instead. It's easy to make and usually doesn't involve any hand-kneading. I'll write later about how to make homemade sandwich bread.

It's a bit short, but I'll write more tomorrow!

Merge the next sentence into this one.

Although I love {toast | sandwich bread?}, I'm going to make ciabatta instead.

I don’t think “toast” is the right word here. Toast is generally any kind of bread that has been sliced and then toasted over a direct heat source. You can make toast out of ciabatta.

Maybe you mean “sandwich bread” instead of toast? In my experience, 吐司 in Chinese often refers to slices of bread that are shaped like sandwich bread.…

It's easy to make and usually doesn't involve any hand-kneading.

I'll write later about how to make homemade sandwich bread.

Feedback

I like to bake bread, too. What sort of leavening do you use? I prefer yeast, although many Americans like sourdough bread, which uses a fermented sourdough “starter” for leavening. I love the smell and taste yeast, and I don’t particularly like the sourness of sourdough. And I enjoy kneading bread by hand.

To each his own!
