"Last year" or "In previous years". Or you could just say "I used to be good at it".

I am not sure what you mean by this. This sentence doesn't make a lot of sense in english. Maybe something like "A long winter has ended, but my apathy remains"?

Not sure which subtle meaning you're going for here, but last life sounds like the Buddhist thing, which can make sense though. If not id say previous lifestyle sounds good too.
