College or highschool?

I have a question, when I want to express that I am between third gradee third year of high school and university what word would fit better?

I’m guessing the third grade of high school you are referring to the USA style of 6-3-3-4 ? So you’re either in year 9 (15 years old) or in university (18+).

In Australia, we colloquially call them ‘years’ “I’m in year 3” “I’m in year 10”. Therefore,

“I am in between year 9 and university.” If you wanted a range of your age ! Although it is naturally an odd sentence, if you don’t want to specifically say your age, we would just give an age range for example:
“I am between 15-19.” This is much more natural, no one ever says ‘I’m in between grade x and y’

College or highschool?.

Thank you for reading :).

Educational systems & terminology differ from country to country. In the US, most high schools cover the last four years of education—grades 9–12. Have you finished high school (graduated)? If so, I wouldn’t say you’re in high school. Are you enrolled in a school? If so, what kind?

In the US, we don’t say “in university.” “In college” means “enrolled as an undergraduate student at a college or university,” so we use “in college” if the school is either a college or a university.

Therefore, if you’ve finished high school, I would probably say you’re “between high school and college.”
