China's mega-dam project

The BBC article is about Chinas new mega project on building the world largest hydrodam in Tibet. India is concerned, because China is up the river an India is down the river. That means that the project will definitly affect Indias enviorment. India even claimed, that China could use the mega-dam as a kind of water-bomb, when they could suddenly release the water without warning on India.

The other issue with the project is the fact, that the damn will be constructed in Tibet. The exploitation of Tibet by China is well-know and the dam project is just another attemp to uitilize Tibet for the sake of China.

China claims on the other hand, that the dam is a clima change related project to reduce air pollution and that they consider the concerns of India and the people of Tibet.
