Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder
Hello,this is Alex.
Here I am going to talk about the topic of beauty.
Do you know when we started to feel like we weren’t a kid anymore? When we started to try to hide ourselves under a mask in our daily life as possible?
I don’t know why, but I only remember I beginning like to hide my true feeling as I face different people when I was a junior high student. I had my own world in my mind and disliked to share with. When I was troubled, i won’t talked with my parents liked used to. They even didn’t know what happened during my school life.
Maybe I was in my puberty. I always felt my life was bristled with gloom and I lost my naivete that I began uninterested in any kinds of activities. I found life was boring as it without computer games, yeah, I was craze about it. My teachers always taught us “life is full of beauty, unless we have the eyes which good at finding it.” But how? I never accepted this standpoint because I only trust that all the beautiful are inside the computer, we can play a variety of exciting games;we can see many exotic gorgeous landscapes and so on.
Such behavior only resulted in I disappointed at my real life, i lost myself in the vast internet and i even proudly thought my mind was maturer than other classmates.
But i was wrong. As we returning to a post-pandemic normal, i was shamed that I ignored how great my country was. At the painful time, there were so many small but great things happened on me. During the epidemic isolation, we usually had our classes online. One day, i turned in my math homework late, to my surprise, i received a message from my math teacher when i wake up on morning. The reply sent on 4:30 a.m., she carefully revised my math homework and wrote a lot of explanations on why i made mistakes, moreover, she even encouraged me to check out my homework and remember to delivered homework on time, and said that she won’t be woke up at midnight to correct my homework next time.I was so touched and grateful to the pursuit of career of my teachers, they are the most beautiful teacher in my eyes.
There are so many things that i can not exampled it one by one, but most important of all, after the pandemic i realized that it’s so proud that i am a Chinese. Thanks to my country that managed to control the pandemic situation fastest in the world, so we can return to our school quickly.
All in all,we must learn to appreciate our daily and be confident about our country, if we didn’t, we would probably Looked down on our current environment, yearning for the distance, we would never find the beauty once again! All we can do is to love ourselves, love others, love our country, and the beauty will always lies in our heart,so we can find it clearly.
That’s all, thanks for your listening, thank you!
Can you help me to be more colloquial :)plz
Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder
Hello,, this is Alex.
Here, I am going to talk about the topic of beauty.
Do you know when we started to feel like we weren’t a kid anymore?
When we started to try to hide ourselves underbehind a mask in our daily life as much as possible?
I don’t know why, but I only remember I beginning likethat I started to hide my true feelings as I face different people when I was a junior high school student.
You could say "beginning" here but I think "starting" sounds more natural.
I had my own world in my mind and disliked to share it with others.
When I was troubled, iI won’uldn't talked with to my parents liked I used to.
They even didn’t even know what happened during my school life.
Maybe I was in mybecause I going through puberty.
I always felt my life was bristled with gloom and I lost my naivete that. I begancame uninterested in any kinds of activities.
I think it would be better if these were two sentences.
I found life was boring as it without computer games, y. Yeah, I was crazey about it.
I am not sure what the meaning of the first part of the sentence is. I think you are saying life was boring without video games?
My teachers always taught us “lLife is full of beauty, unless we have the eyes whichdon't have eyes good at finding it.” But how?
I never accepted this standpoint because I only trust that all thethought that everything beautiful arewas inside the computer, w. We can play a variety of exciting games; and we can see many exotic, gorgeous landscapes and so on.
Because you are talking about your beliefs in the past, the past tense should be used.
Also, use a comma to separate two adjectives that describe the same thing.
Such behavior only resulted in I disappointedment at my real life, i. I lost myself in the vast internet and iI even proudly thought my mind was more maturer than other classmates.
I think "maturer" is technically correct but English speakers would say "more mature," probably because "maturer" is hard to say.
But iI was wrong.
"I" must always be capitalized.
As we returninged to a post-pandemic normal, iI was ashamed that I ignored how great my country was.
AtDuring theat painful time, there were so many small but great things that happened ton me.
During the epidemic isolation, we usually had our classes online.
One day, iI turned in my math homework late and, to my surprise, iI received a message from my math teacher when iI waoke up onin the morning.
The "and" is needed to connect the two ideas in the sentence.
The replymessage was sent onat 4:30 a.m., she She had carefully revised my math homework and wrote a lot of explanations on why iI made mistakes,m. Moreover, she even encouraged me to check out my homework and to remember to delivered my homework on time, and. She said that she won’t be woken up at midnight to correct my homework next time. I was so touched and grateful to the pursuit of career of my teachers,; they are the most beautiful teachers in my eyes.
I changed "reply" to "message" so it matches the previous sentence.
I was not sure what "to the pursuit of career of my teachers" meant. You could say "I was so touched and grateful for how dedicated my teachers were." I think that would be similar to the original meaning.
There are so many things that iI can not exampled itlist them one by one, b. But most important of all, after the pandemic iI realized that it’sI'm so proud that iI am a Chinese. Thanks I am grateful to my country that managed to control the pandemic situationthe fastest in the world, so we can return to our school quicklysoon.
"Example" is not usually used as a verb.
I would end the sentence at "one" and begin with "But" so that there aren't too many ideas in one sentence.
It sounds more natural to just say "I am Chinese."
I changed "Thanks to" to "I am grateful to" because it sounds more natural.
I changed "quickly" to "soon" because it sounds more natural.
All in all, we must learn to appreciate our daily life and be confident about our country, i. If we didn’t, we would probably Lbe looked down on in our current environment, y. Yearning for the distance, we would never find the beauty once again!
I am not sure what "Yearning for the distance" means.
All we can do is to love ourselves, love others, love our country, and the beauty will always lies in our heart, so we can find it clearly.
That’s all, t! Thanks for your listening, t. Thank you!
But i was wrong. But "I" must always be capitalized. |
