Due to the abundance of free learning materials online, anyone with internet access can hone almost any craft at home and employ it in the job market afterwards. For instance, in fields like IT, self-taught skilled professionalls are mostly equal to those with a degree in the eyes of employers.
Admittedly, some argue that homogenization caused by globalization diminishes minority cultures and languages.
