A Branch of Spring
I brought a branch of a peach tree home from the hike trail two weeks ago.
The farmer pruned it from a tree and threw it on the ridge. I guess he was trying to make the tree hold the energy for the flowers that could grow into peaches.
Anyway, the peach branch is growing some leaves and has a bud this morning.
I'm so happy that there's a branch of spring at my apartment now.
两周前，我从徒步路上捡了一枝桃树回家。
当地的农人把它从树上剪下来扔在了田埂上。我猜他是想让这棵树储存能量，在将来开的花都长成桃子。
不管怎么说，今天早上这条桃枝长出了一些叶子，还长出了一个花蕾。
好开心啊！ 现在我的家里有了一枝春色。

"Hold" is unclear as it has too many meanings, so I changed it to "retain" which is clearer in this context.
