This platform was recommended by an experience polyglot in her blog, among other websites on the Internet. I tried a few of the other recommended options too (some of them were pretty familiar for me).
My experience with this kind of applications is diverse. The applications based on chatting with other people were good sometimes, but it requires a lot a effort (and even patience) to engage with someone interesting. Platforms like Duolingo or LingQ are an excellent starting point but, given a certain point, you have to look for more serious options if you want to continue making significant improvements in your learning journey.
Discord has been the most challenging of all. There are some communities where you can start talking with real natives just pressing a button. It's hard to admit but I'm still kind of scared of joining those meetings.
There is certainly a wide variety of options for practicing a foreign language as much as the levels of challenge. Some of them can be easy and funny while other ones even can make you cry. It's part of the process I think ha ha.

Mi experiencia con este tipo de aplicaciones es diversa. Las aplicaciones basadas en chatear con otras personas eran buenas a veces, pero requiere mucho esfuerzo (e incluso paciencia) entablar conversación con alguien interesante. Plataformas como Duolingo o LingQ son un excelente punto de partida pero, llegado cierto punto, tienes que buscar opciones más serias si quieres seguir haciendo mejoras significativas en tu viaje de aprendizaje.
Discord ha sido el más desafiante de todos. Hay algunas comunidades en las que puedes empezar a hablar con auténticos nativos con sólo pulsar un botón. Es duro admitirlo, pero todavía me da un poco de miedo unirme a esas reuniones.
Desde luego, hay una gran variedad de opciones para practicar una lengua extranjera, así como de niveles de desafío. Algunas pueden ser fáciles y divertidas mientras que otras incluso pueden hacerte llorar. Es parte del proceso creo yo ja ja.
