When I was a child, just a few families in my village had bicycles. Maybe only two or three. My family was one of them. My father worked for the local government, so he needed a bicycle to commute.
Learning how to ride a bike was the biggest fun for children. When children were about ten years old, they started to learn to ride bicycles, especially for boys.
All bicycles back then had inverted triangle frames, and a ten-year-old child couldn't reach the pedal if they sat on the saddle.
So, when children learned to ride bicycles, they stood on the left pedal with their left foot and pedaled the right pedal with their right foot through the hole in the inverted triangle frame. You can imagine how difficult it would be for children to learn to ride a bicycle this way.
When children learned to ride bicycles, their parents held the rear shelf in order for the children not to fall off. Even so, children still fell off the bikes several times.
After I started working, I bought the first bicycle in my life, but my first workplace was located on a small hill, which didn't fit a bicycle much.
After I was transferred to my home city, which is a vast plain area, I bought several bicycles. In the nineties, thieves liked to steal bicycles too much. I have lost about ten bicycles so far. Maybe more than that.
Now, I still have four bicycles, but three of them are stationary (idle). The one I ride all the time is a Giant Trooper. I added a motor to it so that I wouldn't be so tired after riding for a long time.
I also have many other different vehicles, but if it is neither hot nor cold, I prefer riding bicycles.
Bicycles
When I was a child, justonly a few families in my village had bicycles.
"Just" works in this context, but "only" is more common. :)
Maybe only two or three.
I would use a comma to connect this with the preceding sentence.
My family was one of them.
My father worked for the local government, so he needed a bicycle to commute.
Learning how to ride a bike was the biggemost fun for children.
When children were about ten years old, they started to learn to ride bicycles, especially for boys.
The syntax in this sentence works, but I personally would phrase it something like: "Children start to learn to ride bicycles when they're about ten years old, especially boys." Either works though!

This is very well-done... sorry to hear about your stolen bikes! Keep up the good work. :)

We can't use "big" to describe fun.

We say seat for bicycles. Saddles are for sitting on animals, like horses or donkeys.

Changed the end here to sound clearer.
After I was transferred to my home city, which is a vast plain area, I bought several bicycles.
In the nineties, thieves liked to steal bicycles too much.
Always a problem with bike theft :(
I have lost about ten bicycles so far.
Maybe more than that.
Now, I still have four bicycles, but three of them are stationary (idle)n't being used.
Changed wording for clarity. A stationary bike is what we call an exercise bike - meaning, a machine for exercise and not a real bike you can ride.
The one I ride all the time is a Giant Trooper.
I added a motor to it so that I wouldn't be so tired after riding for a long time.
