Day 16
Today, I went to the grocery store in town and bought some onions and cabbages. They're great for making salad. Only when I got back home did I realized that I forgot to buy eggs. It seems like a good idea to put everything you want to buy on a shopping list.

I agree. A few years ago, after forgetting to buy things one too many times, I started a running shopping list on my phone. It’s formatted with little check-boxes at the beginning of each line so that I can check off each item as I buy it. I never delete anything from the list, instead leaving it there in the “checked” (bought) state until I need to buy it again. This way, whenever I notice that I’m running low on something, I can simply open the list and un-check the item, so I’ll know I need to get it again. It also helps me avoid buying the same thing twice on successive trips to the store: if I’m at the store and can’t remember whether or not I already bought yeast, for example, I just check the list on my phone, and if it’s checked that (probably) means I already bought it. :-)

Yeah, I should definitely make my own shopping list. I've been wanting to buy some black pepper for half a year, and I still haven't bought it!

One suggestion is to imagine very clearly who you are writing to. This will enhance the color, flavor, personality, voice, etc. of your writing. For example, how would you write this to your grandmother? to your best friend? Keep up the good work!
