Of course, passive sentences are always welcome for formal writing if that’s what you’re going for. But if you want to write sentences that are more commonly used in everyday spoken English, active sentences are the way to go!

"Nowadays" is not wrong, but FYI, it's informal and usually used in spoken English, not written.

Similar to the previous sentence's feedback, "there're" is a contraction we sometimes use out loud, but I would expect to see it spelled out as "there are" in writing. This might vary regionally though; I'm American and I know that Irish / British English sometimes uses contractions that we don't, so I'm not sure.
