Do you feel a sense of belonging in the city you are living in now? To be honest, I don't. I have been living in Taipei since I graduated from college to get a job in tech. Two and a half years have passed, and I still have this thought in my mind - I don't want to take root here. It's not a strong thought, like I hate this place or something, it just feels like something is missing. I don't think it's only because Taipei is not the city I was born in. I lived in Hualien for four years, and I felt a deep connection there. Maybe it's because I don't have any close friends here? Or maybe I just don't like the noise in the big city? It's hard to tell. But at least right now, I have no plans to quit my job. I am thinking about moving to a quieter area next year and exploring the city a bit more to see how things will go.

Feedback
I moved to New York during childhood and feel the only reason why I feel a sense of belonging is because I went to school here. It's a lot easier to meet people in school. A good group of friends really helps with having a sense of belonging.
