BBQ Restaurant
As my daughter graduated from university, she, my wife, and I went to a yakiniku restaurant to celebrate her graduation.
Japanese yakiniku restaurant (焼肉店) is translated as a "BBQ restaurant," "barbecue restaurant," or "Korean barbeque restaurant" in English.
However, when I hear a BBQ restaurant, I would think of a BBQ restaurant outdoor.
Therefore, in order to describe 焼肉店, I think a "Japanese indoor BBQ restaurant" might be better.

娘が大学を卒業したので、卒業お祝いで娘と妻と私で焼肉を食べにいった。
日本の「焼肉屋」は英訳するとバーベキューレストランになるが、バーベキューというと屋外でやってるイメージがある。
だから、日本の「焼肉屋」を英語でうまく表現するのなら、「屋内バーベキューの店」と訳す方がわかりやすいのではないかと思われる。

Congratulations to your daughter!
There are some BBQ restaurants that are outdoors, but they usually have indoor seating as well. I think "Japanese BBQ restaurant" works fine, or if the person you're talking to knows about Japanese food, you can even just say "yakiniku restaurant."

Most BBQ restaurants in the United States are indoor restaurants. I think that 焼肉店 can be translated as "Japanese BBQ restaurant."

Outdoor Japanese BBQ is a lot less common in the US, where most restaurants serving it are indoors, so I think most people will assume you mean indoor yakiniku if you say "Japanese BBQ."
