That's all correct and very good, but as a general rule we avoid parentheses, so you might say in the last sentence: "There's a Chinese saying, 'Shen Du,' that one should maintain vigilance in solitude. I keep reminding myself of this now."
More importantly, it isn't clear from your statement what "Shen Du" means. It could be read as:
1. When placed in solitude, one should maintain vigilance
2. Solitude provides vigilance
3. Vigilance is only possible in solitude
English does use the "A in B" structure for some idioms, but now that a come to think of it they're usually borrowed from Asian philosophy. Their meaning is narrowed down the context they are generally used in.
However, that is a very small quibble and you've honestly done a near-perfect job.
