In the US, this is much more common in a formal email. I don't think I've ever seen anyone use "Yours faithfully."

Thanks! I thought that if you know the person you're writing to and use their name in the greeting, like "Dear John," you'd typically close with "Yours sincerely." But if you don't use their name in the greeting, you'd use "Yours faithfully."

In the US, I've never seen anyone use "Yours faithfully" in an email. It's probably from the UK. To me, it sounds too intimate to use with a stranger.,
