We ate an ice cream at the wharf which was soooo delicious
The ice cream was on my friend.
That day was too hot so we got thirsty and then, we bought a iced coffee.
My Australian fried bought same coffee. Shop staff gave us paper straw. However when she (my Australian friend)drank it she didn't use a paper straw.
She said " I don't want to use paper straw because paper straw is made from paper and they use a special glue which has a lot of chemicals"
I'm not sure if it's true.

I assume this is what you mean. In the right context saying the icecream is "on" them does make sense, but without context it sounds like you dropped the icecream onto them instead.

Since you're telling a story here, it's better to phrase that your friend paid for the ice cream, otherwise the reader might think ice cream physically got on your friend.
