Today, I went to Lynn Canyon. in Canada

NOTE: Many people might not know that Lynn Canyon in Canada.

River was so clear, and tooIf there is *only one* river: The river there was so clear, and its waters were cold.¶
If there is *more than one* river: The rivers there were so clear, and its waters were cold.

And, a new home stay student come my house.

Her name is Rika.

You've been speaking positively about the river (beautiful, clear), but "too cold" is a negative. You could either say "so cold" as above, which is neutral, or you could say "but it was so cold," as the "but" allows our shift from positive to negative

Try to avoid beginning sentences with "and"

She is goodnice.

"Good" is awkward as a standalone adjective when it's about a person; it's more used as a modifier for something else. E.g., "she is a good cook, he is a good father."

The standard general compliment would rather be "nice"
