「見る」は集中していても、そうでないときでも使うことができる便利な表現です。
「映画を見る」も正しい表現ですが、私は「映画を観る」と書くことが多いです。

There is a slight difference between the two words.
観る means "to watch"
e.g. 「わたしはテレビを観ます」
見る means "to watch" plus "to see" /"to look"
e.g. 「わたしは星を見ます」
Actually, 「映画を見る」is grammatically correct. However, 「映画を観る」looks more natural to native speakers. I hope this will help!
