Thanks to the typhoon I got an extra holiday.
The previous couple typhoons arrived also was holiday.
But at that time I didn’t have a job.
Which means nothing to me.
But this time I do have a job therefore today I can stay at home and do nothing.
I watched so many movies, played long hours TV games…
I am so happy.
But I can’t go out and eat a good dinner that is the only “not so happy” moment.
Sorry to say that this time “Typhoon I liked you”.
At last! An extra holiday!

It is important to think about the point in time about which you are writing. This determines the tense (past, present etc) to use.
