Those with the same syndrome as me, not only have red faces, but also had red eyes and became ugly.
We lack an enzyme that is difficult to digest alcohol.
I have Asian Glow Syndrome, so I don't drink.
The good thing is that a lot of money is saved, but also that my health is protected.
The downside is that I can't drink at all, so I can't make friends.

I think it's perfectly possible to socialise and make friends even if you don't drink - just find better friends who don't mind or who are happy to socialise without alcohol!
