Are you a person that usually uses a costume in Halloween?

Recently, a cousin invited me to a costume party for her baby's birthday. The fact that the birthday is in October makes it a requirement to wear a costume. I don't usually wear costumes on Halloween, I don't feel comfortable.

The only time I wore a costume was when I was a child, going out trick-or-treating. As an adult, I haven't done it again until in my job obligated me to.

When I was a teacher at a high school, all teachers had to wear costumes to encourage the students to do the same. I was a hippie the first year and Wanda from the cartoon The Fairly OddParents the next year. But I really hated it! I don't know, I just didn't enjoy it. I felt that I had to be a clown to make my students happy.

Now, the same thing is happening again. I bought cat ears and a tail, I just need to paint whiskers and a black nose on my face. I don't need anything else.

So, do you enjoy wearing costumes? hahaha.

Thank you for reading me! :D

Jajaja.

¡Gracias por leerme! :D

Thank you, I'm really happy with my English.

Are you a person that usually usewears a costume ion Halloween?

we can sometimes use the word "use" with clothing, but typically it is just "wear"

For example, it would be normal to hear someone say "I am going to use gloves for this" but not "I am going to use a jacket today"

"wear" is always, as far as I can think, going to be OK to use

or "makes wearing a costume a requirement"

I don't usually wear costumes on Halloween, because I don't feel comfortable.

The only time I wore a costume was when I was a child, going out trick-or-treating.

As an adult, I haven't done it again until in my job obligated me to.

sounds pretty formal this way.

maybe try "until my job made me."

When I was a teacher at a high school, all teachers had to wear costumes to encourage the students to do the same.

I was a hippie the first year and Wanda from the cartoon The Fairly OddParents the next year., but I really hated it!

But I really hated it!

I combined this with the previous sentence. You could also have a separate sentence that just says "I hated it!"

It wouldn't sound bad to leave it the way you had it, though.

I don't know, I just didn't enjoy it.

I felt that I had to be a clown to make my students happy.

or

"for reading this"

or

"for reading my entry"

Thank you very much for your corrections and your time too. I'd like to be like you, perhaps it's because I'm so serious, I hate wearing costumes, hahahaha.

The only time I wore a costume was when I was a child, going ouwhen I went trick-or-treating.

This is more natural and ties the trick-or-treating addition to the rest of the sentence better.

As an adult, I havedn't done it again until in my job obligated me to.

Hadn't is more accurate than haven't, since haven't implies that the event has not recurred, which the final part of the sentence contradicts. The word 'in' between until and my is also not needed.

BI was a hippie the first year and Wanda from the cartoon The Fairly OddParents the next year, but I really hated it!

Combining this with the previous sentence allows for a more natural flow

Thank you for reading mey post! :D

Reading me is incorrect: this implies that there is text on you and that we are literally reading your body!

You could also say "thank you for reading my journal". "Reading me" has the implication that you are judging a person.

Great writing! Translating reflexive verbs can be tricky because English is not consistent when translating from Spanish.
I love dressing up for Halloween! A cat is a good choice if you do not enjoy it though

Yes, and writing this I discovered that "trick-or-treating" is a verb, I thought it only was song, hahaha. I'd like to enjoy wear costumes, but not. I'm like an ogre, hahaha.
