Are we too fixated on protein?

As an athlete, I'm trying to eat a lot of protein. Protein is really important because it's the food group which allows people to gain muscle. I have been going at the gym for 1 month and I eat snacks and breakfasts containing a lot of protein. But sometimes, I wonder "Is it always healthy to eat proteins?". Indeed, it's the only food group people think it's always healthy. For example, sometimes carbs can be good for our health and sometimes not. Consumer brands have understood this hype of eating proteins and take advantage of this by selling their product using slogans like "high protein source". In 2024, protein's consumer brands sold more than 7 billions pounds of products containing proteins. It's a huge number. To conclude, I think proteins are really important for our health even if we don't practise sport, but we have to not forget the other fundamental food groups such as fibres or vitamins. Thanks for reading and feel free to give me advice and tell me how you Found my english!

I have been going at the gym for 1 month, and I eat snacks and breakfasts containing a lot of protein.

Seems like comma avoidance mastery, but it needs one here.

But sometimes, I wonder "Is it always serving my healthy to eat proteins?".

To means 'going towards eating', which makes the sentence different than if you worked in just 'eating'.

IndeeThat being said, it's the only food group people think it's always healthy.

Indeed contradicts the previous doubt, instead we use 'that being said,'

For example, sometimes carbs can be good for our health and someother times not.

words aren't repeated unless the following words can be interchanged, so 'sometimes this other times that' is used

Consumer brands have understood this hype of eating proteins and take advantage of this byit, selling their product using slogans like "high protein source".

'have to not' is appealing to an existing knowledge, I don't know if you want to say this cause must not is more common it even has an abbreviation mustn't. maybe it's just more common for me.

I have been going ato the gym for 1 month, and I eat snacks and breakfasts containing a lot of protein.

But sometimes, I wonder "Is it always healthy to eat proteins?".

No need for the period, the question mark in the quotation ending this sentence serves that purpose.

"Protein" is not pluralized when you are speaking about protein in general

Indeed, it's the only food group people think it's always healthy.

Not a grammar correction, but I would speak about protein / carbohydrates / fats as macronutrients instead of food groups

For example, sometimes carbs can be good for our health and sometimes not.

Consumer brands have understood this hype of eating proteins and take advantage of this by selling their products using slogans like "high protein source"."

In 2024, protein's consumer brands of protein-based foods sold more than 7 billions pounds of products containing proteins.

Using the possessive for protein is strange here, like "protein" is an entity making money :)

It's a huge number.

To conclude, I think proteins are is really important for our health, even if we don't practise sport, but we have to not forgetexercise, but we need to remember the other fundamental food groups, such as fibres or and vitamins.

"Need to remember" is more natural than "have to not forget"
I would call fiber and vitamins "nutrients" instead of "food groups"

Great job. Your English is very good, I have no problems understanding you.

I personally find it difficult to eat enough protein because I don't eat a lot of meat.

Hi. My name is Terezinha and I am an English teacher at a public school. In the past, I used to be the best teacher of my small city. Time passes and I am not so good anymore. Sometimes I don ´t know how to give a good class and I forget words all the time. I don´t have time to watch movies because I work a lot so, when I go to bed, I just want to relax. I am also fed up with the goverment of my State! Can you believe that next year, it is going to have just one English class per week at high school? Until now, it used to be two.
I would apreciate if you correct my text and give me advices please. Thank you!
