Are humans Inherently Good or Bad? (2)- Mencius and Aristotl
This will a difficult writing for me, but I will take it a try.
If you are interested in the real culture and philosophy of China, you must learn the thoughts of the Chinese back 2,500 years. A famous philosopher, Mencius, was a follower of Confucius who was 100 years older than him. At the same time, Aristotle appeared in Greece, I hope this will make sense for the time.
Mencius believed humans inherently good and could cultivate their goodness by learning the thoughts of Confucius. Plus, living harmoniously with nature and society also accumulates goodness for our humans. In fact, the thoughts of Confucius have influenced Eastern and South-Eastern Asia countries a lot over 2,000 years till now.
His theory of goodness of Mencius makes people calm, peaceful, and not willing to fight. The interesting thing is, people in C (country name) and the government of C have different interests and beliefs. They are on two parallel lines, and will never intercross.
