Ancient Remains
I went to Asuka village.
There are any ancient remains from the Asuka period around there.
I was looking forward to seeing them because I’ve been interested in ancient remains like Stonhenge in England and pyramids in Egypt since when I was a child.
I visited Ishibutai Kofun, which is famous for its megalithic structures, and Kitora Kofun and so on.
At the Kitora Kofun Museum, we saw a special exhibition of the astronomical chart that had been relocated and restored from the Kitora Kofun.
It is said to be the oldest existing Chinese-style astronomical chart.
I rented an electric assist bicycle and went around the ruins, but I didn't have enough time.
So I want to visit there again soon.
明日香村へ行って来た。
そこには飛鳥時代の古代遺跡がある。
子供の頃から、イギリスのストーンヘンジやエジプトのピラミッドなどの古代遺跡にも割と興味があるから、楽しみだった。
巨石建造物として有名な石舞台古墳や、キトラ古墳などに行った。
キトラ古墳の資料館では、キトラ古墳から移設と復元された天文図の特別公開を見てきた。
この天文図は、中国式の天文図としては現存する最古のものらしい。
電動自転車をレンタルして他の遺跡も回ったが、１日では足りなかった。
また近々行こうと思う。
