We live in an era where news is spread in a blink of an eye, but the information has never been subjected to such changes and has not caused panic. Therefore, facing this situation, the main functions of a Journalist role in providing information and influencing opinion have to be reinforced.
Such sources as social media have changed the amount of information that journalists used to handle, and although this is a positive thing when used appropriately, it has increased the amount of hours they spend filtering the information and as a result they could feel tempted to be bias instead of setting out the facts accurately.
As citizens of the world we're all responsible for taking part on the decisions either locally or globally. We need profesionales that are well informed and take the time to back up their posture in politics, healthcare, social security,etc to make it easy for us to make up our minds in relevant areas.

Por tanto, ante esta situación, es necesario reforzar las principales funciones del rol de Periodista a la hora de informar e influir en las opiniones.</p>
<p> Fuentes como las redes sociales han cambiado la cantidad de información que los periodistas solían manejar y, aunque esto es algo positivo cuando se usa adecuadamente, ha aumentado la cantidad de horas que dedican a filtrar la información y, como resultado, podrían sentirse tentados a ser imparciales en lugar de exponer los hechos con precisión.</p>
<p> Como ciudadanos del mundo, todos somos responsables de participar en las decisiones, ya sea a nivel local o global. Necesitamos profesionales bien informados y que se tomen el tiempo para respaldar su postura en política, salud, seguridad social, etc. para facilitarnos la toma de decisiones en áreas de importancia relevantes.</p>
