I bought a tricycle last winter. Before that, I rode my bike to work and back.
During the winter, it's too cold where I live.
Whenever I rode a bike to work, the knife - like wind made my nose run and my hands numb. I endured this situation for several years before I finally made the decision to buy a tricycle.
My tricycle is similar to a small car. It almost has everything that a car has. It has two doors, one on each side. The carriage can prevent the winter wind from blowing straight into my face. So it's very comfortable to drive in winter.
If it's summer, I can roll down the two windows on the doors and open the sunroof to get cooler.
I do have a car, but I really don't like to drive it to work. Whenever I drive my car to work, I can't find a free parking space, and sometimes I will get traffic tickets. Furthermore, buying gasoline is also a big expense.
My tricycle is not a motor tricycle. Instead, it's an electric tricycle, which is driven by a set of batteries.
A full charge for the tricycle takes around 10 hours and it can run for about 60 kilometers.
The distance between my apartment and my office is 7.5 kilometers, and I need to go to my office twice every day from Monday to Friday. The charging fee for my commute is about 2 Chinese yuan every day, which is so economical to me. I like my tricycle so much.

I bought a tricycle last winter.
Before that, I rode my bike to work and back.
During the winter, it's toovery cold where I live.
Using “too” would imply that the coldness prevents you from doing something, but since you don’t comment on that, I’d use something like “very” or “really”.

You were riding your own bike, not some random one off the street, so you would use “my” instead of “a”.
No spaces around the hyphen (-) because sometimes it can be used as punctuation to separate clauses or ideas when there are spaces around it.
