I've hiked to Yuyao several times. It's a county in Zhejiang Province, belonging to Ningbo City.
There are many mountains and small villages in Yuyao. Every time I just followed my hiking group. We haven't been in the same mountains yet.
The scenery was very beautiful, sometimes I wrote it down.
I found a poem about it today, which was written by its magistrate about 1000 years ago. The poem describes the mountains, water, temples, and plants. They look like the scenery I saw so much.
it's fun to find some connections through time.
我去余姚徒步过好几次。它是浙江省的一个县级市,隶属于宁波。
余姚有许多山和小村庄。每次我都是跟着我的徒步小分队。我们还没有去过同一座山。
风景真的美,偶尔我会写下来。
今天我发现了一首关于它的诗,大约1000年前的县令写的。这首诗描述了其中的山、水、寺庙和植物。他们跟我看到的风景太相像了。
太有趣了,这种穿越时间的联系。

The phrase "in the mountains" might be used when talking about the entire range of mountains in that area, or to say that you are walking through tunnels inside of mountains. It seems like here you are saying that each time you go on a hike, you are hiking on a different mountain, so you might say something like this instead.
The scenery is always very beautiful,; sometimes I wrote it downite about it.
Since you are talking about more than one hike, it makes more sense to say "the scenery is always very beautiful" instead of saying "the scenery was very beautiful." You might use this second sentence if you were talking about a single visit to the mountains that happened in the past.
I found a poem about it today, which was written by itsa magistrate about 1000 years ago.
They lookIt sounds just like the scenery I saw so muchee whenever I visit the mountains.
"Look" is used when you physically see something with your own eyes. When talking about words that you are reading, you would typically use "sound."

First sentence is fine, but this sounds more natural.

I found a poem about it today, which that was written by itYuyao's magistrate about 1000 years ago.
It's confusing if "it" doesn't refer to the same thing. If the first "it" refers to the scenery, then you should change the second it to a noun.
They look like the scenery I saw so much of.

An Ancient Poem about Yuyao
I've hiked to Yuyao several times.
It's a county-level city in Zhejiang Province, belonging to the sub-provincial city of Ningbo City.
A county generally contains multiple cities. I looked up Yuyao and Ningbo on Wikipedia to use their proper terms, although I think "county-level city" and "sub-provincial city" are China-specific terms that I haven't heard of before.

Stylistic recommendation using words more commonly used to describe nature
