Hi all. It's almost three months since I last wrote an entry here. I'd like to thank everyone who has corrected my previous entries because it helped me a lot to prepare for my language test. That said, I managed to pass it and get the language-level certification I needed. I'll keep writing here because I don't want my English to get "rusty", but I won't do it as often as I used to. Instead, I'll try to help others as much as I can with their Spanish.

I would construct the past with 'it has helped' since it is something that you did and completed. Although 'it helped' is still grammatically correct.
That said, I managed to pass it and get the language-level certification I needed.

Hi Sergio, may I ask what exam did you take, maybe CAE? I have found that your previous writings would be perfect for English students that want to prepare for the exam.
I chose the APTIS ESOL exam because I urgently needed the language certificate, and it seemed to be the cheapest and most affordable option. You can prepare for most parts on your own, and there are plenty of online resources available. However, I highly recommend practicing with a partner for the speaking component. Moreover, the certification is widely recognized and accepted by various universities and institutions. I believe that the CAE is much more challenging.
