I am trying to translate this spanish quote:
“Nadie logra mentir, nadie logra ocultar nada cuando mira directo a los ojos”.
I hope you can help me with the translation that sounds natural or if you could suggest a better translation.
1. No one can lie, no one can hide anything when you look them straight in/into the eye.
(I used the singular they to replaced "no one" but I sm not sure of this sounds natural)
2. No one can lie, no one can hide anything when they are being looked straight in/into their eye.
3. No one can lie, no one can hide anything when someone look him/her straight in the eye.
4. No one can lie, no one can hide anything when he/she looks directly into someone's eyes.
