Gee’s Bend is a town in Alabama , but its real name is Boykin. Women in Gee’s Bend have made quilts. It’s a part of American art. More than 100years ago, some of women in Gee’s Bend started todo some sewing cooperative, and it’s became a new business. They called it the Freedom Quilting Bee. They pieced tother quilts with old clothes. The Bee did well for several years. They made enough money to help their living. Many people did it for living their families. And now, in recent years, they were a part of special art show. It’s became a part of American art.
