just some minor punctuation things mostly and some vocabulary things. Plural cultures talk about different cultures from different countries, if you are talking about Japanese culture you would use singular 'culture'. "foodies" are a type of people that are crazy about food, so talking about Japanese food I'd again use the singular 'food'.

But it's gettingIt's ready now.

The "but" implies that there is a contradiction somewhere. But here everything is going to plan so I think this reads more natural.
