I wanna speak natural English, not textbook English!🙇♂️🙇♂️
I wanna speak like a native!! Seriously!!🙇♂️🙇♂️🙇♂️🔥🔥
Could you please help me by correcting anything that's wrong or unnatural in my sentences?
You can change the order of the sentences, or do whatever you want!
I'd like to learn some common phrases and slang! 🙏
Also, I'd like to get your advice on talking to foreigners.
I look forward to your constructive comments.✍️
B: Excuse me, Can I borrow you for a minute?
A: Sure. What happen?
B: Do you know where I can catch the bus to M university?
A: M university? Hmm, I have no idea, sorry. If you want, I'll look into it.?
B: Please do!
A: Okay. Wait a minute.
Well, sorry, it's surprisingly hard to find. I'm sorry, I don't have much time, is it okay try asking someone else?
B: Oh, okay!
Thanks!
A: I'm sorry I can't help you.
B: Don’t be sorry! You're helpful! Thank you!
A: Sorry. Take care.
B: You too.
I wannat to speak natural English, not textbook English!🙇♂️🙇♂️
Even though it will sometimes seem as if native speakers are saying "wanna", what is happening is that the "t" of want is blending with the next word "to", so it may sound like "I wanna go" or even "I wan to go", but that is a natural linguistic result. I would recommend that you avoid deliberately saying "wanna". (That is an old man's opinion)
B: Excuse me, Canould I borrowther you for a minute?
Normally you do not borrow people, only things that you intend to return. It can be said humorously, perhaps, as in "Can I borrow your husband for a minute?"
Perhaps you were thinking of "bother" as in , "Could I bother you for a moment? " But this is an unlikely approach statement. The most normal would be "Excuse me, could you help me?"
A: Sure.
What happen?do you need? or "How can I help you?"
A: M university?
Hmm, I have no idea, sorry.
