Day 6

Today, I finished reading The Hobbit. It took me half a month. To be honest, I watched the movie trilogy many years ago, and also read the translated version of the book. So, I was able to read it quite smoothly. It is also thanks to the author's preference of using simple words and expressions that are vivid and effective. I will try to write a bit more tomorrow.

Thanks for making my writing more natural!

The phrase "To be honest," doesn't really make sense here. It's more often used when trying to say something unexpected, or controversial, or contradicting a previously held belief/thought, e.g. "To be honest, I didn't really like it" (despite it being popular) "To be honest, I actually cheated" (on a test that you passed) "To be honest, I never liked her anyway" (after breaking up with a girlfriend, despite you actually liking her while you were dating) "To be honest, it wasn't actually that bad" (despite "it" felling like it was bad when "it" happened (what ever "it" may have been))

So, I was able to read it quite smoothly.
