Šiandienos Prancūzų patarlė yra "maitinti kiaules uogiene". Tai reikšia tą patį, ką ir "to throw pearls to the swines". Tai reikšia daryti kažką gero kui nors, kas to nevertina ar nejaučiasi dėkinga už tą.
