I am proud I passed my classes without the need to cheat on my exams, which probably more than half my classmates did. I only accomplished that because I studied a lot, struggling with the 100-page exercise lists and reading books.
What classes did I need to study that much?? Electromagnetism, Physics III, Physics IV, Experimental Physics IV, Calculus III, Ordinary differential equations, and Discrete mathematics, etc.
I also had to burn a few dozen neurons to write codes in C for my Data Structures and Algorithms final project: A clipboard manager. I wrote about 350 lines of code making it work on the terminal, but all of that work was thrown away. I wrote a function to read strings with "\n" characters, not native to the C standard library. We ended up making the project only on Python, using some libraries to capture the things the user does a "Ctrl+C", and storing it using a Binary Search Tree data structure. Therefore, all of the client-server communication was made unnecessary. The good side is we got a 10/10.
The other project I needed to focus on was my Computer Vision project: a gesture-based controller of YouTube Music. I was able to use some Python Libraries to detect the fingers of my hand and articulations and track them, using the trained model of MediaPipe Hands. When I raised a couple of fingers, it was a trigger to pause the song I was listening to, for example. We learned how to train models and stuff, and we made a lot of projects in the AI class, but I had to focus on my final exams. So I choose a simple final project. I scored 9/10, btw.
Anyway, I'm proud I survived my second year at Computer Engineering with integrity. I'm the type of student who studies a lot, and drinks all the words the professors give in classes, but still, my scores are not as big as my colleagues who don't study that hard. I am Ok with that because I don't care a lot about grades, even though I should.
That's it. It's an everyday fight I gladly win. And that is what I want to still do in 2025, but obviously learning from my mistakes, which I should start to think about.
I am proud that I passed my classes without the need to cheat on my exams, which probably more than half my classmates did.
It is a "that" clause as it expresses feelings.
WFor what classes did I need to study that much??
"for" is used with subject studied.
I also had to burn a few dozen neurons to write codes in C for my Data Structures and Algorithms final project: A clipboard manager.
Interesting phrase! I think that "burning brain cells" is more common in slang nowadays though.

express intention with "to"

"do something"

same as the first correction. However, I don't think people will notice in everyday conversation.

"high score" like in video games.

Very accurate with a bit of informal flair! Keep going, for both English and Uni!
We ended up making the project only on Python, using some libraries to capture the things the user does a, like pressing "Ctrl+C", and storing it using a Binary Search Tree data structure.

"drinks" isn't really used for words, but you can use "absorb" for a similar casual feel to what I think you're going for.

In the middle of a sentence it is OK or ok, never Ok. "Ok", is only used starting a sentence. (Your spell check will probably ask for OK, which is formally correct, but "ok" is absolutely ok and normal in casual writing)
A wordy reply. |
