Let’s say person A work in the government and person B work in a private company, if the two of them do the same work, person A get a higher salary than person B, if person B wants to get the same salary as person A, he or her needs to do more work than person A, but it doesn’t mean working in the government is rich or something, it only means working in the government is relatively better than working in private companies. Compared with businessmen, people working for the government don’t have much money. Generally speaking, as ordinary government employees in China, they are able to live their lives without working so hard, but they are not considered rich.

Generally speaking, as ordinary government employees in China, they are able to live theircomfortable lives without working stoo hard, but they are not considered rich.

I think "comfortable" is important here. It makes it clear that government jobs pay well enough to live off; but they won't make you rich.

Feedback

Interesting - do you pick stability in a government job, or opportunity in a private one?

In my opinion, if a person is capable, they better do their own business. Working for the government, people can know exactly about their situation when they retire decades beforehand. If they work for themselves, every day will be a new surprise because they never know what achievement they will achieve the next day.
