The teaching equipment of my classroom is so old and rough that it can't play a DVD. I tried to transfer the items in the DVD to a SSD. I searched online for information but failed. So I asked my friend to help me. We spend almost an hour. It will tell whether I succeed or not tomorrow when I try it in the classroom. In fact, I am pessimistic about it.
A Waste Oof Time
The teaching equipment ofin my classroom is so old and roughtdated that it can't even play a DVD.
I tried to transfer the items in the DVD to a SSDcontents of the CD onto a storage drive (or maybe thumb/flash/USB drive?).
Some tech terminology here: DVD (not technically but practically always) refers to a CD with a video on it, otherwise it's just a CD. SSD stands for Solid State Drive and is a particular type of storage drive (the other most common type being HDD Hard Disk Drive) that usually is an internal component of a computer. I would think it unlikely that you have a bare SSD lying around to transfer the contents of the CD/DVD onto, but maybe I'm wrong. Went with my best guess.
I searched online for information on how, but I failed.
So I asked my friend to help me.
We spendt almost an hour.
It will tellknow whether I've succeeded or not tomorrow when I try it in the classroom.
In factTruthfully, I am pessimistic about it.
"In fact" needs to add new information to a previous statement/belief. For example, "We tried to transfer the data, but I'm not sure if it worked. In fact, I'm rather pessimistic about it." In the example you express your doubts before reinforcing your pessimism with "in fact."
